Suspension Kits

ABS has 24 Suspension Kits in range
row3

Suspension Kits

The number of suspension kits in the ABS range now totals 24 sets. Certain brands (including VAG Group, BMW and Mercedes) use complicated multi-link suspension systems. These have numerous pivot points and whilst being light and technically advanced, they are also prone to wear. When one component fails, other parts often shortly follow suit. One visit to the workshop, replacing the full kit, will guarantee many trouble-free kilometres for years to come. In addition to the necessary suspension arms, these packages also contain stabilisers and the required special nuts and bolts.

Mountings

The mountings allow the suspension arms to move up and down
row3

Mountings

ABS has an extensive range of almost 1,000 articles. The mountings allow the suspension arms to move up and down. They provide just the right amount of flexibility to the suspension system while still being both safe and comfortable. The bushings need to be able to withstand vibrations, pressure and temperature changes. Most are composed of metal inner and outer sleeves vulcanized to a rubber core. The hardness and shape of the rubber core can be varied to give differing suspension characteristics; solid bushes are stronger but restrict movement and transfer more vibrations.

row3

Stabilizers

The available range consists of more than 1,000 articles. The stabiliser connecting rods are used to connect the anti-roll bar to the suspension arms. The anti-roll bar is an essential part, which limits body roll when cornering. The connectors are very strong, but at the same time the joints are highly flexible. The joints are protected with rubber dust covers, which offer protection against water, grit, oils, road dirt and salt. Stabilisers are available in different kinds of material, such as steel, aluminium and plastic.

Ball Joints

The ball joint is a crucial component in the suspension of any car
row3

Ball Joints

ABS has an active range of more than 550 ball joints. It is the main joint that allows the wheels to steer. It provides structural support, in combination with the right amount of movement. The ball around which the joint pivots is made of high grade, hardened steel and is precision machined. The housing is engineered to form a precise fit. Ball joints are greased and sealed, as it is of crucial importance that no water or contaminants penetrate the housing.

row3

TIE ROD ASSEMBLY

In total we stock more than 2,000 articles. Axial rods and tie rods, together also known as the tie rod assembly, form the link between the steering knuckle and the steering rack. They are vital for safe and comfortable steering. All moving parts are produced using hardened steel and high-quality lubricants. The housing is manufactured in a CNC machine. This results in a precision fit which ensures smooth movement of the joint inside of the housing. The rubber dust covers on the products help to keep the grease in and dirt out of the joint.

Suspension Arms

Suspension arms are a key component of the suspension system
row3

Suspension arms

ABS has an extensive range of more than 2,000 articles. Suspension arms, form the link between the chassis and the wheels, allowing the car to steer and the wheels to move up and down. Suspension arms are exposed to water, dirt and salt. To ensure a long service life, control arms are fitted with high-quality components and are coated to prevent rust. Suspension parts are subjected to numerous forces and need to be able to handle different road and weather conditions.
