Car Brake Hoses

Need to be strong to withstand high pressure

Brake Hoses

Brake hoses are responsible for transmitting hydraulic pressure from the brake master cylinder to the brake calipers, enabling the brake pads to clamp onto the brake discs and slow down the vehicle. In a range consisting of more than 2,700 article numbers, approximately 6,000 different fittings and other parts are used.

Brake hoses form the flexible link between the rigid brake line fitted to the car body and the caliper or cylinder mounted on the wheel carrier. They ensure that the braking system operates efficiently and effectively. Besides being flexible, brake hoses need to be strong enough to withstand highly pressurized brake fluid during a braking action. With the ABS pump assisting during strong braking, pressure can exceed 160 bar. All brake hoses are manufactured in accordance with SAE J1401 and FMVSS 106 standards to ensure safety and reliability.
