Brake Calipers serve as the assembly that houses the brake pads and pistons. Their primary function is to apply pressure on the brake pads against the brake discs to create friction, which in turn slows down or stops the vehicle. ABS has an active range of more than 3,500 articles for European and Asian vehicles. Refurbished ABS calipers always have new rubber parts, new pistons and springs and a new handbrake mechanism.

The calipers are plated with a high-tech coating which is a sustainable way to protect the product during its lifetime. In addition to regular calipers, ABS also has a wide range of calipers with an electronic parking brake unit (EPB). All of the calipers from ABS have EAC approval.

Fun fact: many high-performance and sports cars feature brightly colored brake calipers, like red or yellow, not just for aesthetics but because these calipers are often made from lightweight materials such as aluminum, which improves handling by reducing the car’s unsprung weight!
