Brake fluids
DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 4 LV and DOT 5.1
Brake fluid is a type of fluid used in hydraulic brake and clutch applications. It’s used to transfer force into pressure, and to amplify braking force. It works because liquids are not appreciably compressible. In general, modern braking systems require synthetic brake fluids. ABS provides the following fluids in various packaging sizes: DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 4 LV and DOT 5.1.
Brake
ABS has an extremely extensive range of more than 2,700 articles. This range includes brake pressure regulators, brake master cylinders and wheel brake cylinders. The ABS hydraulic range is the most extensive range in the aftermarket. Years of development resulted in market-driven range of products backed up with a huge stock. Availability from stock, even for slow-moving articles, is key for ABS.

Clutch
A very extensive range
The Clutch Hydraulics range includes clutch master and slave cylinders. Clutch slave cylinders can be mounted externally and operate the clutch via a clutch fork or they can be fitted directly between gearbox and flywheel (CSC). Besides the traditional primary and secondary clutch cylinder layout, the clutch slave cylinder is now being integrated into the gearbox in an increasing number of cases. These hydraulic thrust bearings are also referred to as CSC bearings.
Drums and Shoes
The ABS range contains over 450 brake drums and over 600 brake shoes for European, Japanese, Korean and American passenger vehicles. Brake drums and shoes form a closed configuration. The closed setup protects the system from foreign objects; however, it limits the system’s ability to dissipate friction heat. A part of the range has pre-fitted bearing(s) and an ABS ring. Parts comply with European ECE-R90 regulations where required.

Brake Drums
Over 450 brake drums in range
The ABS range contains over 450 brake drums. A brake drum is an essential part of the car that ensures that the car slows down. It is located at the rear of the car and interacts with the brake shoes. All brake drums are casted according to OE specifications and finished on CNC-controlled machines.

Brake Shoes
Over 600 brake shoes in range
The ABS range contains over 600 brake shoes. The brake shoe of a brake drum system is the carrier of the brake lining. The brake lining consists of friction material mounted on brake shoes. This is pressed against the rotating brake drum to slow down the car.
Brake Hoses
In a range consisting of almost 2,400 article numbers, approximately 6,000 different fittings and other parts are used. Brake hoses form the flexible link between the rigid brake line fitted to the car body and the caliper or cylinder mounted on the wheel carrier. Besides being flexible, brake hoses need to be strong enough to withstand highly pressurized brake fluid during a braking action. With the ABS pump assisting during strong braking, pressure can exceed 160 bar. All brake hoses are manufactured in accordance with SAE J1401 and FMVSS 106 standards.

Brake Pads
The range consists of more than 1,700 brake pads for passenger vehicles. Where applicable, brake pads comply with European ECE-R90 regulations for friction materials. Brake pads are equipped with additional equipment such as wear indicators, bolts or clips. Anti-noise shims are fitted as standard. Brake pads are engineered to provide a combination of constant friction level, wear resistance, low noise production, high vibration absorption and low wear on the disc. Pads contain a low level of phenolic resin and are scorched which reduces the risk of glazing.

Accelerator and Speedometer cables
The Accelerator cable is a cable that is attached to your pedal and your throttle valve. With the help of this system you can accelerate. With the help of an electric odometer, the speedometer cable is attached to the gearbox, or via the drivetrain (ABS sensor, gear and TPMS). It measures rotation through electrical pulses. It translates the duration of the electrical signal, into speed, while you are driving.
